I’m so excited about what this means for our city! Thanks to a strong partnership with Congressman Juan Ciscomani's office, we’re one step closer to securing funding for the next phase of the much-needed reconstruction of BST. I’m truly honored to have played an integral role in this effort and grateful for the teamwork that continues to move our community forward. Below is an excerpt taken from the Herald/Review's article: "Buffalo Soldier Trail Reconstruction

The largest single allocation listed for the district is $7 million for the Buffalo Soldier Trail reconstruction project in Sierra Vista. Buffalo Soldier Trail is a major north–south arterial roadway that connects residential and commercial areas and provides access to State Route 90. City officials have previously identified the corridor as a priority for reconstruction due to aging pavement and increased traffic volumes.

The project has been planned as a multi-phase effort, with earlier federal funding supporting initial reconstruction work. The additional $7 million would allow the city to advance further phases of rebuilding along the corridor, which serves commuters, commercial traffic, and access to nearby employment centers."
